Each and everyday this world gets darker/people living like there ain't no tomorrow/smoking and drinking away/problems all that I seem to portray/problems in the midwest/problems in the dirty south/people with problems everywhere, people struggling everywhere/
Problems everywhere that I go/struggling is all that some know/working 9 to 5 with minimum wage/now thats just cra-zy/and many got babies/now thats a problem/how do we solve em/what can we do/broken homes are everywhere/people breathing there last breath of air/prisons filled with so many convicts/couples torn apart from too many conflicts/how do we profit on this planet/how do we go on, how do we manage/get another bandage/put it on our heart/to cover up the scars/and keep on walking/act like its really nothing/man I don't think so know/people struggling everyday and don't know where to go/sins got a grip on many souls/where many are headed Lord knows/but one thing I know, we all need Jesus though/
Each and everyday this world gets darker/people living like there ain't no tomorrow/smoking and drinking away/problems all that I seem to portray/problems in the midwest/problems in the dirty south/people with problems everywhere, people struggling everywhere/
(ChanceCold - Verse)
Cold world, cold streets/walking in the shadows all the monsters know me/breathing in sin, sins my oxygen/poison pumps through my veins, battling hearts of men/at war with the heart within my chest/so much weight/and Im told to wait/but I argue, try to negotiate/take a plea bargain/and cop out to a lesser felony/my souls crucified, is anyone out there feeling me/eating up my adversity/try to look at it differently/but I hate positivity/my assumption is Im destined for defeat/my destiny’s to soak in fire after bathing in gasoline/blame it on the streets and the wolves that raised me/can’t stand on my feet, Im reduced to a slow crawl/and its hard to stay legit when Im broke cuz I know how to bawl/struggling to overcome the struggle noting permanent/Im at the bottom of the water, feet stuck in cement/tryna act like Im innocent but I know thats ignorance/so I chose to repent and I sought out forgiveness/It was freely given and the problems disappearing/let the light in that was missing/Christ killed my life sentence/now Im able to breathe and see the truth/and all it took was my repentance//COLD
Each and everyday this world gets darker/people living like there ain't no tomorrow/smoking and drinking away/problems all that I seem to portray/problems in the midwest/problems in the dirty south/people with problems everywhere, people struggling everywhere/
